Catalysts - 2

Over the Christmas holiday, we had to research 20 images for each theme and bring it in on the second day back.

In small groups everyone had to present the research they have done and talk about what theme(s) they choose to explore further. I chose the theme minimalism. Through my research on minimalism, I have come across a few works that are small and narrow. However, the inside of those houses are very big. They kept the space minimal and letting in a lot of natural light, making the interior appear spacious. I also really like there minimal material palette. Moreover, I have thought about incorporating hidden storages into my design. The concept of hidden storages is something I always found fascinating, and this might be the chance where I can create my own hidden storages.

I realized that I don’t contribute much during group discussions. This is something that I should improve on, since I might contribute something that is really useful for that person’s project.
